Current Network Observations
Over recent days, several mobile operators have introduced intermittent UDP packet throttling and handshake drops on standard DNS port 53. Users may experience sudden disconnections or high ping in WhiteDNS and MasterDNS clients.
Status: Not a total blackout, but severe packet loss on default foreign resolvers (like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8).
Recommended Actions for Users
- Run the Resolver Scanner: Use the Clean IP & Resolver Finder app or the in-app resolver benchmark in WhiteDNS Android.
- Switch to Domestic Clean Resolvers: Tested domestic and non-standard recursive resolvers remain stable.
- Lower Fragment Packet Size: If using WhiteVPN, set packet fragmentation to
1-3 byteswith5-15msdelay.
